Meals: Not Your Average Camping Cuisine
We?re justifiably proud of the meals we provide!
Our continental breakfast includes muffins, Danish, hot & cold cereal, coffee, tea and juice.
Lunch in the field is a simple affair of sandwiches, chips, soft drinks, etc., and there are plenty of snacks to keep you going.
But dinner is a gourmet event every night. Entrees like seafood linguine,?chicken Marsala?& Painted Hills Premium Beef steaks?give you something to look forward to after a day in the field. Beer, wine and soft drinks are also provided for the evening meal. We can accommodate special diets on request just let us know in advance.
Meals are provided from dinner the evening before the hunt starts through breakfast the day after the hunt
Lodging: Rest in Comfort After the Hunt
Sarvis Prairie Outfitters offers two comfortable lodging units, complete with satellite TV and an outdoor campfire pit:
- Double-wide modular house: With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, this unit sleeps 6. It offers private rooms, especially welcome for couples or women hunters.
- Bunkhouse: With 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, the bunkhouse sleeps 8.
Searcy Camp: For those who want to stay in the field, Searcy Camp?s bunkroom sleeps 8?with an outhouse. It?s rustic but it has electricity, a cook shack and its own particular brand of charm. We normally only use these accomodations during our archery hunts or non-guided rifle buck hunts.
Oregon License & Controlled Hunt Tags
Sarvis Prairie Outfitters will assist you in obtaining your 2014 Oregon Hunting License & Unit Tag. Oregon Fish & Wildlife offers several hunt type tags for our Unit 45. Our hunters will participate in the Controlled Hunt Draw, those whom do not draw a tag. We will issue Landowner Tags after the draw. All Oregon State License and Tag Fees are not included with our hunt fees and are an additional cost that should be consider with booking your hunt. Due to logistics of draw deadlines and purchase deadlines we may advance fees for your License & Tag Fees but they will be collected prior to your hunt.
Trophy Care & Preparation
Once you have harvested your quarry, we will promptly take quality field photographs for your memories. Your guide will take care of field dressing, skinning & hanging your carcass in a walk-in locker.
If you want trophy preparation, your guide will field cape your animal for the ta taxidermy and place the head in the walk-in locker and you can take it with you. We can arrange for local taxidermy or we can ship your trophy to your preferred taxidermist for additional preparation and shipping costs.
Finally, we will quarter and load your meat for your transportation upon your departure or we can make arrangements for professional processing, for additional delivery and shipping costs.
Transportation
Our Guides provide all transportation during your hunt once you arrive at the ranch, for all guided hunts.
To reach Sarvis Prairie Ranch, you can fly into Portland or Redmond and rent a car. Portland has more flights and is about a 3 1/2 hour drive to the ranch.
