7-Day Archery Hunts

Nothing Finer Than Archery Elk Season
Sarvis Prairie Outfitters offers an exceptional opportunity for both beginning or experienced archery hunters. Our Archery Hunts are the only time you can do a combination Rocky Mountain Elk & Mule Deer hunt due to season dates established by ODF&W. You can either choose a single species hunt or a combination hunt, however we only allow for a limited number of Mule Deer bucks to be harvested during the archery season. Depending on the Hunt Number you have booked you will be assigned and familiarized with Hunting Area ranging in size from 9,000 – 20,000 acres of private land.
Sarvis?Prairie Outfitters?offers high success rates on branch antlered bulls from a very stable residential herd estimated to be 350-450 Rocky Mountain elk. As the season progresses we have more elk move into our lands with the pressure applied by hunters on the?Umatilla?National Forest. Although our hunters allowed to harvest or pass on any bulls we encounter our goal is to harvest 5-point or better bulls. Our bulls range in the 240″-280″ P&Y class with one or two 300″ plus P&Y bulls taken every year. Our biggest bull harvested with?Sarvis?Prairie Outfitters was a monster 7×7 scoring 373″ P&Y. This bull was harvested by an archery hunter.
Please visit and browse our Gallery to view the bulls taken by previous years hunters. This is a great resource to view the Rocky Mountain Elk you can expect to hunt with Sarvis?Prairie Outfitters. Our hunters are free to harvest any bull of their choice.
Hunting Styles

Non-Guided Archery Hunts
We offer Non-Guided Archery Hunts in all three Hunt Numbers or Sessions. This hunt is directed to those archery hunters whom have had experience with archery hunting elk in the past or those hunters whom are looking to accelerate their archery elk hunting learning curve. Archery Elk Hunting with Sarvis Prairie Outfitters ususally offers you the ability to hunt unpressured elk and the ability to leave a bedded herd during mid-day and return on them in the afternoon for an evening hunt, without fear of them being busted out of the area by a public land hunter.

We also provide you with recovery assistance, in the field trophy care and a hanging shed with a walkin cooler. You will be responsible for transportation during your hunt, self guiding and your meals. We are always at the ranch for any questions or additional assistance.
Guided Archery Hunts
We offer only a limited number of Guided Archery Hunts annually normally no more than 6. These hunts are currently only offered during our Hunt No. 1 & No. 2. These hunts are all inclusive and run a very high success rate on shot oppourtunity.
